We welcome residents of Berlin, Meriden, New Britain, Plainville, Southington and Wallingford age 50 and older. We provide rides to out of town medical appointments (up to 20 miles radius from the town’s Senior Center), pharmacy stops after medical appointments and to care facilities to visit loved ones.
To become a member, individuals must submit a completed application with a copy of their Covid vaccination card. Please mail your completed application, copy of vaccination card with a check for annual membership fee made payable to Senior Transportation Services, Inc. *Southington residents are asked to please contact STS prior to submitting completed application.
There is a minimum of 10 day notice to book all appointments, not including weekends or holidays.
STS volunteer drivers are vetted and trained thoroughly to ensure safe and reliable transportation services to all our clients.
Clients are asked to wear masks while using STS services.
Pricing
Our free structure is based on income, and some of our clients qualify for reduced pricing. We encourage new members to contact the STS office for pricing information.
Annual membership is $30.00 per person or $40.00 per couple
The following is our fee structure. Ride Fees (based on round trip mileage):
- 1-6 miles – $6.00
- 7-12 miles – $12.00
- 13-18 miles – $18.00
- 19-25 miles – $24.00
- Over 25 miles – $1.00 a mile (fees based on round trip)
*Invoices are mailed the last day of the month. Drivers do not accept payments or tips.
